Wild Postnatal

The Programme

“Wild Postnatal is a guided return to movement after childbirth, starting once you’re cleared at your six-week check. Breath, deep core connection and pelvic floor first, full-body strength by the end. It’s carefully staged so nothing outpaces your recovery. Six weeks or six years postpartum, this is where you begin, there’s no window you’ve missed. Your body will still respond really well to starting by reconnecting the core first and building strength from there. Join me as I rebuild my strength right alongside you and my baby Billie.”

Is it safe for me?
Postnatal Pilates, answered

For most people, yes. Pilates is one of the most recommended ways to return to movement after birth. Every Wild Postnatal Programme class is staged to work with your recovery, and it’s essential to check with your midwife or LMC first.

Our programme is designed to start after your six-week check, once your GP, midwife or LMC has cleared you for exercise. Every birth is different, so start when you’re cleared or years later and take it at your pace.

Yes! Once you are cleared by your LMC or midwife. All of our classes are designed to be done if you have had a C section and please take it at your own pace.

Yes. Your six-week check is the milestone the programme is built around as the earliest start date, ask specifically about returning to exercise, especially if you had a complicated birth or a caesarean.

Some separation is normal after pregnancy and often improves with the right work. All postnatal classes skip movements that make it worse and build the deep core support underneath instead.

Stage one is built around reconnecting to your pelvic floor properly.

A mat and a bit of floor space. Some later classes use a small ball, band or light weights, but there’s always an option without.

A regular class assumes your core and pelvic floor already work well together. This programme rebuilds them in order, starting with breath and pelvic floor before adding load.

Still expecting?

Our week-by-week pregnancy programme runs right through to birth, then Wild Postnatal picks up once you are ready to move again.

Mums across Aotearoa

“As a mother of four it’s challenging to fit in studio sessions, but with the online platform, I had access to quality prenatal workouts right here in my lounge. It helped incredibly with my postpartum healing too.”

“First one back after birth + all that came with it! I was quite nervous but this made me feel super encouraged and empowered. Thanks for talking through it all so well.”

I filmed this through my own recovery

“I feel so lucky to have experienced my own postnatal recovery. I truly think it has made me a better instructor. It was a humbling season. In those first few months I wondered if I would ever feel my core again. A few months on I’m feeling really strong and I want that for every mum who doesn’t know where to start.

Every class is filmed right after my 6 week clearance, when I was in the thick of it. So I’m reconnecting and rebuilding right alongside you, with my baby Billie joining us in some classes too.”
